I wish I could travel "one flight down," you know, the floor Norah Jones talks about in her song? "One flight down there's a song on low, and it's been there playing all along...now you know, now you know." I bet walking that flight is the most relaxing thing ever, like when you come home in the grey and it's all white wool blankets and deep, sinking ivory couch cushions for the rest of the evening. Perhaps all of the homes on that floor are accented with the warm, charming glow of vanilla candles whose cooing flames echo off the surfaces of immaculate stainless steel countertops. I'm sure all of the bathtubs have clawed feet, and all warm, wet bodies fall into fresh linens at night. All bellies and bank accounts stay full, all animals stay warm and fed, all anxieties are calmed, and all fear of the future doesn't exist.

"One flight down,
There's a song on low,
And it's been there playing all along...
Now you know,
Now you know."
