LGBT
In a conversation over the LGBT community and homosexuality [as a sexual sin], a thought came to my mind. So often, Christians will consider those who have chosen an alternative lifestyle as "lost". And yet, no one ever hears any Christian saying "I feel called to work with the LGBT community"; people's jaws would drop. That to me is indicative of prejudice; I think it also raises questions about God's "calling" and what sincerely drives it. Do we really believe God calls no one to work with these people? In the perspective that the LGBT community is "lost", are they not just as important as those who have never heard over-seas? I believe if a person was GENUINELY concerned about the lost, they would reach out their HANDS to the LGBT community to show the light of Christ. That is RARELY the attitude. Perhaps we need to evaluate ourselves in this? If Biblically sin is equivalent and homosexuality is a sin, then I want to start being treated as Zach was treated [before he died] for my sins. I struggle with jealousy; I want everyone to beat the snot out of me on the back of a school-bus and I want to be treated even worse than he was. Crucify me...if not physically than verbally and mentally. I deserve it more than he did because I'm the coward who hides my sins; he wore it on his face every day. If Christians cannot offer Godly love to these people, they do not know Christ. If homosexuality is a sin, the blood is on the hands of those who hold judgment towards these people in their hearts.
